Read the book with your kids, pointing out the various places in your home where leprechauns might be caught. 


Build

Gather supplies around your house: shoeboxes, string, sticks, etc. 


Research and learn

Research trapping mechanisms and encourage your kids to use their imagination to build a trap.

In the days leading up to St. Patrick's Day, you can leave "traces" that leprechauns have been to your house.

Encourage your kids to create a map to track the signs of the leprechauns and/or plan the placement of their trap(s).


set the stage

The night before St. Patrick's Day, your kids should set up their trap(s). 


Awake to riches

Your kids may awake to a treat or riches left by a leprechaun in his effort to free himself from the trap.
